About
Dr. Jennifer Lowry
I was born and raised in San Diego by a loving family and returned here to practice medicine for that reason. I began working with children at a young age as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and camp supervisor.
Upon entering medical school, I quickly discovered a need for more physicians in the area of mental health, especially providers capable of treating children. Insurance organizations, health politics, and pharmaceutical companies aside, I absolutely love my job. I provide medication, only when necessary, to allow children to reach their maximum potential in areas of education, friendship, and family life.
In my personal life, I am passionate about animals (especially our furry friends that provide us with companionship) and outdoor athletics. As a mother myself, I am well aware that being a parent is likely the most challenging undertaking in life. My goal in treating children and teenagers is to strengthen the entire family unit, including parents and siblings.
